PALO SANTO (3 sticks)

1. Light a candle.

2. With a clearing intention in mind, place one end of the palo santo into the flame.

3. Wait for the the palo santo to light like a candle, then gently blow the flame out allow the smoke to billow.

4. Smudge the room, your cirlce or your aura to clear energies that no longer serve you.

Palo santo (Bursera graveolens) is a native wood of South America. It grows in dry tropical forests and produces very fragrant resin. In Spanish, palo santo means “holy wood.”

Palo Santo has a long spiritual history with references dating back to the Incan era, when it was used in rituals and ceremonies.

The spirit of Palo Santo to continues to live on in the wood long after the tree or branch has fallen.

South American healers and shamans believe that the Palo Santo spirit that has to be treated with respect, and the wood and essential oils can only be extracted 3 years after the natural death of the tree.

Our Palo Santo is certified sustainably harvested in Ecuador with a reforestation program in place to regenerate the palo santo trees.

It has only been processed from palo santo wood found to have died naturally in the forest and naturally cured for at least 3 years.
